Fall Tips for the Changing Season
September 22nd marked the first official day of fall and some of you like to do some fall cleaning ahead of the holidays. We’d like to give you a few home maintenance safety tips as you get those ladders out and start working.
- Tip #1: This is a good time to change your batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
- Tip #2: A lot of us like to get outside and clear those gutters of falling leaves, use caution while climbing ladders and when possible use a spotter.
- Tip #3: Check and replace home fire extinguishers.
BONUS TIP: Falling leaves and rain can make those driveways slick, use caution when navigating driveways and sidewalks.
